PREVENTIVE CARE

PEDIATRICS – PUPPY & KITTEN CARE
If you have a new puppy, we guide you through a few basic training needs including how to house break your puppy and basic obedience. We also recommend immunizations and preventive medications to protect against common diseases and infestations (distemper virus, parvovirus, rabies, intestinal worms, heartworm control, and flea and tick control, and more). We offer suggestions regarding skin, coat, ear and nail care, and we counsel you regarding when to spay and neuter your puppy.
If your new pet is a kitten, we educate you about contagious diseases (Leukemia, Aids, respiratory viruses) and how to prevent them. Of course, we counsel you regarding when is the best time to spay and neuter your feline friend, too.

SPAY/NEUTER

COMPLEX SURGICAL PROCEDURES
For the pet with surgical needs, we provide routine surgical procedures such as spays, neuters, bump removals, etc. When non-routine surgical needs arise, we offer more complex procedures including bone fracture repairs, tumor removals, bladder stone removals, intestinal foreign body removals and many more.
We take anesthesia and sedation very seriously, and when your pet needs anesthesia we have a wide range of sedatives and anesthetic medications to select from based upon your pet’s personal needs. Once anesthetized, personnel and equipment monitor your pet’s vital signs including how well they are breathing and how well their heart is handling anesthesia from the moment anesthesia begins until your pet is able to sit up unaided.
